Create your best future and join Westpac as a Lawyer/Senior Lawyer - Business Transaction Banking - Permanent Full-time opportunity - Sydney or Melbourne based - Hybrid working model What’s the role?: As a Lawyer / Senior Lawyer, you will provide clear, commercially focused legal advice on day-to-day matters across the Business Transaction Banking line of business. This includes advising on pricing changes, compliance incidents, regulatory engagement, marketing initiatives and customer-related queries from front-line teams. You will also support key initiatives such as new product and feature development, product enhancements and third-party partnerships, ensuring legal risks are identified and managed effectively. In addition, you will contribute to the broader Legal function by supporting knowledge management, shaping house views and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong collaboration across business, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations and strategic priorities.
