Job description

POSITION: ARMED SECURITY: REPORTS TO: Director of Safety & Security, Chief of Uniformed Security or his/her designee. FACILITIES: Erie Insurance Arena, UPMC Park, Warner Theatre, Bayfront Convention Center, Liberty Park HOURLY RATE: $22.00/Hour POSITION SUMMARY: Armed Security is responsible for ensuring patrons abide by Erie Events rules and regulations during events in Erie Events facilities. Armed Security may be required to assist in the physical removal of unruly, drunk, disorderly or otherwise violent persons. Armed security must extend all human courtesies to patrons, performers and staff. Armed Security is responsible for other duties as may be determined by the Chief of Armed Security. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be Act 235 certified. Must be level headed, conscientious, and enjoy working with people. Must have excellent communication skills, be able to follow directions and exhibit objective reasonableness and common sense. Previous law enforcement experience is desired but not required.
