Overview PURPOSE STATEMENT: Serve as expert in the use of food and nutrition to promote health and manage disease. Pacific Grove Hospital in Riverside, CA., is a leader in behavioral healthcare, providing superior healthcare treatment to the people, communities, and military installations we serve. We are a private inpatient 68 bed acute psychiatric facility with out-patient services, dedicated to the treatment of behavioral health and substance abuse services. Hourly pay range: $38-45 per hour DOE Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling. - Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements. - Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation. - Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation. - Review and approve menus developed by the facility. - Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life. - Consult with physicians and healt...
