Under direct supervision, Lead Medical Assistants orient, guide and coach new Medical Assistants. The Lead also assists Providers, Nurses, and other care team members by greeting patients, verifying information, assisting in the exam room, prepping patients for a treatment, measuring vitals, performing lab tests and maintaining patient's electronic health records (EHRs). The Medical Assistant is a key staff member for completion of patient care tasks supporting quality outcomes and measures.
