Job description

Perform and oversee a combination of advanced skilled equipment repairs and preventative tasks in an equipment shop environment. Provide technical and directional guidance to floor technicians in conjunction with the shop supervisor. How you will contribute: - Provide guidance and leadership to floor technician: Assist shop supervisor by organizing work flow and shop productivity through management of on-road technicians. Manage out-sourced work with dealers and contractors. Identify the contractors and vendors, handle the procurements and ensure work is acceptable in terms of quality and strict deadlines to complete the projects. Lead Preventative Maintenance monitoring, scheduling and follow-up on repeat repairs to identify why vehicle came back and what needs to be done to correct the issues. - Serve as Lead Technician or Acting Supervisor: May act as lead technician or shop supervisor to fill in as needed during the absence of the shop supervisor and as assigned by the District Equipment Manager.
