Job Responsibilities The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina is seeking a candidate for a Procurement Director. This position is responsible for providing procurement services for the college’s $140 million annual operating budget. The position exercises award authority up to $500,000 and interfaces and manages procurement above $500,000 with State of SC Procurement, including receiving delegated authority on specific procurement above this level. Plans, develops, and directs the material management functions of the college and ensures efficient and responsive performance at all levels within the department. The position manages the implementation of an automated purchasing and fixed asset software programs, drafts and publishes internal and external manuals, and instructs all college personnel in the use of new and expanded purchasing and fixed asset programs. Supervises the selection, award, and administration of all contracts, including highly complex service contracts for information technology equipment. Directs the professional procurement staff in specification preparation, source selection, and bid/proposal award. Supervises approximately six full-time employees...
