Overview Program Representative/Senior/Specialist/Principal working with the VIRGINIA Program Office located at the Newport News Shipyard in Newport News Virginia. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The candidate will assist in all aspects of the construction process from early module assembly at QP and NNS to Final Assembly and Test of VIRGINIA Class Ships in NNS. The candidate will work out in front of the production effort to address work integration, build sequence changes, material availability or the need for fixtures or special test procedures etc. to prevent impacts to the NNS construction team. Cost, schedule, and attainment metrics such as IMCS Data, 3G and 7G reports are some of the essential tools that will be used to track performance. The selected candidate may also be responsible for coordinating various NNS actions in support of EB-delivered ships. This is a high visibility position to shipyard and senior leadership. Successful candidates will be expected in time, to engage with all levels management to report progress, seek assistance and manage activities.
