Hospital - Anesthesia Technician (Full Time, 06:30-3:00)

Job description

The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesia providers prior to, during, and following patient procedures in various settings within the Perioperative space at UT MSRH. Individuals in this position are proficient in sterilization, maintenance, packing, and resupplying of anesthesia supplies and equipment in the operating room department, and when available, responds to codes with anesthesia. - Provides assistance with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and post operatively by cleaning, maintaining, packaging, ordering, and inventorying of anesthesia supplies. - Checks and supplies anesthesia machines and carts, checks and replaces anesthetic gases, disassembles used anesthesia equipment, disinfects machines and supply carts, replaces used products and prepares transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring. - Participates as an assistant to Anesthesia providers for procedures in the perioperative spaces for UT MSRH - Retrieve special anesthesia supplies as anticipated and/or requested by the anesthesia provider - Ensures anesthesia machines are ready for use to include troubleshooting issues.
