Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Chambersburg, PA - Chambersburg, PA 17201 Retention Bonus $1,500 and 80 hours of Paid Time Off after first 90 days of employment JOB SUMMARY: Lay out, fit, and weld metal components to assemble beds, frames, and small parts work orders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Actively observe and promote BWise safety standards Analyze drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operation. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using a variety of measuring tools. Tack-weld or welds component and assemblies using welding equipment. Monitor welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material. Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisor. Evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications. Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using appropriate measuring instruments. Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinder or hand file. Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
