ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Cardiac Nurse to join our General Surgical Ward . In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialised nursing care for patients recovering from cardiac interventions, including angiograms, stent insertions, and other procedures. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients' cardiac status, including telemetry, and ensuring safe and effective recovery in a fast-paced environment. The ward operates on a rotating roster, requiring all staff to work morning (AM), afternoon (PM), and night (ND) shifts. Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive post-operative care for patients following cardiac interventions, such as angiograms and stent insertions. - Monitor patients using telemetry to assess heart rhythm, rate, and other vital signs, ensuring early detection of any abnormalities or changes in condition. - Manage and maintain TR bands (Transradial access site compression) for patient's post-cardiac catheterisation to prevent complications. - Administer prescribed medications...
