ASME Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) Department: Manufacturing / Engineering Reports To: Quality Manager Position Summary: The ASME Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining welding processes and procedures in compliance with ASME codes and industry standards for the manufacturing of shell-and-tube evaporators and related pressure-containing components used in industrial chiller systems. This role provides technical oversight and coordinates inspections for welded assemblies including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and welded steel piping for both the water and refrigerant sides of the system. The Welding Engineer ensures welding quality, code compliance, process efficiency, and continuous improvement across fabrication operations while supporting production, quality assurance, and product engineering teams.
