Position Summary: Supports the fleet maintenance operations by installing and inspecting tires and rims on tractor-trailers. Major Tasks and Responsibilities: - Removes and installs tire and rim assemblies from class 6, 7, and 8 trucks, trailers, and converter dollies. - Uses hydraulic jacks and stands to gain access to the unit and replace tire assemblies. - Operates, lifts, moves, and stores specialized equipment to maintain, inspect, and repair tires or rims. - Repairs tires outside the maintenance facility utilizing a service truck. - Inspects tires for wear, damage, and proper inflation. - Disposes of old tires in compliance with environmental regulations. - Mounts and dismounts tires or rims using specialized tire...
