Answer all incoming telephone calls to the department from patients, physicians, and other departments while handling each as appropriate in accordance with NorthShore telephone customer service standards and practice protocols including documenting in Epic telephone encounters Utilize Epic to schedule and register patients for multiple providers, sites and services Obtain prior authorization, records and orders as needed to ensure patients arrival to the department to be seamless Familiarize yourself with physician preferences, physician availability, practice visit types, and practice protocols Obtain prior authorization as needed: Review department templates daily to ensure patient access and template e...
