Radiologic Technologist (Temporary)

Job description

Position Summary: Performs radiographic procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries. Maintain quality patient care in compliance with San Ysidro Health Core Values. Operate available x-ray equipment to produce quality images of the body. Essential Functions of the Job: - Positions imaging equipment and adjust controls to set voltage, current, exposure time and distance in accordance with the specifications of the examinations ordered by the providers - Collaborates with Care Team personnel to provide timely and quality services - Reviews and evaluates computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes - Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan - Demonstrates strong working knowledge of physiology and anatomy to capture proper views of the affected areas as described by the provider orders - Assists in the identification of problems and submits recommendations to Technical Supervisor and Clinic Services Manager - Interprets statutes, rules, policies, and regulations regarding radiation safety as required - Responsible for the proper maintenance of all records relating to licensing a...
