Overview The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) has an immediate career opening for a full time Security Guard. This opening is located at IDA’s Center for Communications Research in La Jolla, California (CCRL). We are seeking a Security Guard to assist in providing physical security protection of structures, properties, and materials at CCR-L. The Security Guard regulates and controls personnel movement onto the facility and into the building, patrols the environment, investigates unusual events, responds to alarms, document events and submit reports. Due to the nature of the work, this position is often required to work varied shifts including overtime hours and holidays.
