Overview LMI is seeking a Transportation Modeler to support a highly visible project with the United States Postal Service (USPS). The Transportation Modeler will play a critical role in optimizing the USPS Local Network using a 100% data-driven approach, advanced modeling software like Blue Yonder’s TMOD, and analytics to streamline mail transport processes and reduce costs. This position involves gathering, processing, and analyzing logistics data from various USPS repositories, assessing performance metrics, and configuring complex transportation scenarios such as Dynamic Route Optimization (DRO), Local Transportation Optimization (LTO), Regional Transportation Optimization (RTO), and more. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in data analysis, transportation modeling, and stakeholder collaboration, leveraging tools such as Python, SQL, and Power BI to deliver efficient and implementable cost-saving solutions.
