HVAC Mechanic (Construction Dept)

Job description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our construction team. This role involves installing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on commercial and/or residential construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, can read blueprints, and works well in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Install HVAC systems including ductwork, piping, units, and controls according to project specifications and codes Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings Measure, cut, and assemble duct systems and components Test HVAC systems for proper operation and troubleshoot issues Perform system start-ups and ensure proper calibration Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on-site Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area Document work performed and report progress to supervisors Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school preferred) 2+ years of HVAC installation experience in construction (or apprenticeship equivalent) Strong understanding of HVAC systems, ref...
