Job description

We are currently accepting internal applications for the role of AZ Equipment Operator 1 – Emergency Response (ER). This position plays a critical role in operating and maintaining heavy vehicles and equipment in support of environmental cleanup and emergency spill response activities. This is a unionized position and will be filled in accordance with the provisions of the current Collective Agreement. QUALIFICATIONS: o 4000 hours competed with the Employer. o Vatid AZ License o Passed competency evaluation by GFL Supervisor o Operate Proficiently at Equipment, including but not Limited to: Pneumatic & Shell Tankers, Wet / Dry Vac, Hydro Vac, Liquid (wet) vac, Roll-off Truck and/or Trailers Box Trailers & Straight Truck (including use of pallet jackets, dolly’s, carts, etc.) o Sewer Cleaning Equipment i.e. combination / sewer flushing units. o Confined Space Watch, Rescue & Entrance (certified training required). o Certified Emergency Response Hazmat Technician (GFL course) o Capable to drive manual transmission truck(s) Requirements: - High School diploma minimum - Certification from recognized Truck Driving School - Valid Commercial AZ License - Overtime as required • Weekend wor...
