Description Performs a variety of semi-skilled and unskilled labor jobs in maintaining and improving Park District resources and facilities, maintains buildings, and sets up facilities for public functions, etc. Performs mainly routine tasks in maintenance and landscaping. RATE OF PAY: $11 per hour Hours: Up to 28 hours per week. Requirements: Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license. New employees must satisfactorily complete a background check. Lorain County Metropolitan Park District policy prohibits hiring new employees who are tobacco users. Lorain County Metro Parks is an equal-opportunity employer. - Cleans buildings (i.e., sanitizes, sweeps, mops, etc.), structures (i.e., shelters, restrooms, etc.), and other park facilities. - Performs routine landscaping tasks including but not limited to mowing, pruning, weeding, mulching, watering, fertilizing, seeding, etc. - Litter and trash pickup. - Maintains facilities, and storage areas, empties trash, etc. - Sets up facilities (i.e., chairs, tables, A/V equipment). - Operates vehicles and equipment (i.e., pickup trucks, tractors, mowers, Gators, and other heavy equipment). - Repairs building equipment as needed. - Installs and...
