Department: 11903 Advocate Condell Medical Center - Food and Nutrition Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 20 Schedule Details/Additional Information: every other weekend, evenings 4-8 pm Pay Range: $18.85 - $28.30 Major Responsibilities: Ensures physician’s diet orders are met by maintaining current and accurate patient card files and following specific standards for diet compliance. 1)Processing Diet Orders • Follows physician’s diet orders for all patients • Updates and maintains accurate patient card files in automated diet office. • Adheres to specific standards for diets when entering selections into computer or in modifying and checking menus. • Updates and maintains nourishment orders to ensure diet orders are met. Utilizes CBORD and Care Connection to achieve meal selection, process diet orders and changes. 1)Communication: • Assists patients with room service when appropriate for all assigned patients/units • Communicates effectively when assisting patients and/or family with menu selections • Communicates between nursing, room service operators and kitchen staff in order to clarify orders and provide prompt service. • Communicates special patient ne...
