What's the role? As a Lead Software Engineer , you will play a key role in designing and building scalable backend systems that power HERE's Last Meter services. You will lead technical direction, contribute to architecture decisions, and work closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams. This role is backend-focused with a strong emphasis on TypeScript (Node.js) and cloud-native development. What You'll Do: - Design and develop scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js. - Build and maintain high-performance REST APIs used by web and mobile applications. - Architect and optimize data storage solutions using PostgreSQL (AWS RDS). - Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments. - Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. - Lead engineering best practices, including code quality, reviews, testing, and CI/CD. - Contribute to system design, scalability, and performance optimization. - Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
