Transit Assistance Program (TAP) Coordinator Part-Time (20 hours per week): Onsite Position: Job Announcement: Sacred Heart Community Service (SHCS) in San José, CA is seeking a part-time Transit Assistance Program (TAP) Coordinator to help connect low-income community members to affordable transportation. As a member of the Essential Services team, the TAP Coordinator is a welcoming presence and often the first face community members encounter at SHCS. The ideal candidate is self-directed, flexible, and brings strong communication, basic math, administrative, and customer service skills. They are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and are committed to serving individuals from diverse backgrounds with empathy and respect. For more than 60 years, SHCS has combined direct services, leadership development, and policy change — rooted in anti-racism and anti-oppression — to address the impacts of poverty while building collective power for systemic change.
