First Merchants Bank is seeking a First Lien HELOC Post Closer to join our team! This position will perform post-closing functions in an efficient, accurate, and compliant manner, including, but not limited to MERS registration, closed loan package receipt and review, collateral tracking and review, Investor shipping, provide support for portfolio loan servicing and clearing post-closing conditions. As part of this role, you will: - Obtain and review closing packages from title companies and follow up on outstanding conditions and documents. - Ship loan files to Investors, review investor-related post-closing conditions and coordinate the collection of required information/artifacts to satisfy said conditions to ensure the salability of mortgage loans on the secondary market. - Register loans with MERS, ensuring a very high degree of accuracy and data integrity. - Prepare and Record Mortgage Assignments and Releases, as needed. - Set up mortgage insurance for loans requiring MIP based on pre-established conditions. - Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders - Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requireme...
