Job description

SMX is seeking a Senior Enterprise Solution Architect for our State & Local Government practice. You will own solution design and technical delivery for complex, multi-agency cloud migration, application modernization, AI/ML, and data & analytics engagements. This is a client-facing role with both delivery accountability and business development responsibilities — you’ll work directly with state executives, lead technical teams, mentor engineers, and contribute to proposals and capture efforts. This position is hybrid supporting a Boston, MA based customer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Design and deliver enterprise solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) spanning cloud infrastructure, app modernization, data platforms, and AI/ML. - Lead solution architecture from discovery through implementation — produce architecture documents, decision records, and technical governance. - Design to regulatory compliance standards including FedRAMP Moderate, HIPAA, CJIS, and IRS Pub 1075. - Serve as trusted technical advisor to senior government executives; translate technical decisions into business impact. - Partner with PMs to oversee delivery quality and step in on at-risk enga...
