Description The Duke Center for Living at Fearrington is accepting applications for a Group Fitness Instructor (Contractor). The Duke Center for Living is a medically based wellness facility set within the upscale retirement community of Galloway Ridge in Chatham County. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Providing group exercise instruction in a variety of formats including but not limited to: Zumba, cardio-interval, cardio dance, hi-lo choreographed, basic step, weight training, aquatics, stretch, and yoga. - Offer continuous supervision during class to provide a safe, effective, and motivating environment. Continually assess the participant's ability level and offer modifications as needed. - Arrive to class at least 10 minutes early to greet participants and set up space for any activities needed for the assigned class. - Observe and instruct good body mechanics. Provide education on exercise, body alignment, and exercise safety.
