Principal Site Reliability Engineer

About the role Experienced site reliability engineer for a regulated Australian financial institution, to play a key role in deploying new cloud infrastructure and continually improving the resilience and security of existing infrastructure. Requirements: - A full-stack understanding of modern cloud-based infrastructure, from VPCs to Kubernetes clusters to deployment pipelines (AWS or Azure experience preferred) - Extensive experience with Gitops and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) - A good understanding of application and network security best practices and tooling - A hands-on problem-solving mindset for both systems design and troubleshooting Nice to have: - Experience working in a compliance environment - Programming skills in Go, Python, Bourne Shell, or other - Skills for performance optimisation of databases, networks, web applications and/or pipelines Work environment: - Sydney CBD office close to buses and train station - Flexible hybrid work mode (three days in office per week, two remote) - Competitive rates - Work may included compensated out-of-hours on-call duties
