Job Title Fleet Specialist I Agency: Texas A&M Forest Service Department: Field Operations Proposed Minimum Salary: $22.45 hourly Job Location: Merkel, Texas Job Type: Staff Job Description: Under the direction of the Incident Response Logistics Coordinator and Lead Fleet Specialist, assist with monitoring, evaluation and management of Field Operations Department vehicles and equipment including performing field inspections, troubleshooting, facilitating equipment repair, ensuring maintenance of records and providing related training. Respond to a variety of wildfire and all-hazard incidents and provide logistical support as needed. Responsibilities: -Assist Incident Response Logistics Coordinator and Lead Fleet Specialist with monitoring, evaluation and management of the Field Operations Department vehicles and equipment including: 1) performing field inspections on equipment, verification of required maintenance, vehicle records and inventory 2) assisting in the facilitation of equipment repair and conduct emergency repairs as needed 3) help ensure current and accurate maintenance records, including maintenance and repair documentation, are kept on all vehicles and equipment. -Su...
