About the role: We are currently seeking a Mechanic to join our Maintenance team at our North Complex mine. North Complex is composed of two surface coal mines located in Gillette, Wyoming (Rawhide & Caballo Mines). The mines produce high quality thermal coal that is loaded onto haul trucks and then shipped by rail. It has approximately 465 million tons of coal reserves. Gillette is known as the energy capital of the nation. Just an hour’s drive from Devils Tower National Monument, Gillette is close to scenery with its famed rolling hills and open plains. Pronghorn and big game hunting across Campbell County is some of the nation’s best, and you can scout the area on a Wildlife Loop Tour. Peabody’s North Complex Mines have a safety-first culture and strive to have zero recordable MSHA injuries/incidents. This role will carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to fixed and mobile plant in an open cut environment.
