Job Summary: Supervises activities associated with processing of equipment, supplies and instruments utilized for diagnostic or surgical intervention. Activities include decontamination, packaging, sterilization and distribution to departments supported. Interprets policies, procedures, standards and regulations. Supports carrying out department objectives. Provides a leadership role for the continuous quality improvement initiatives. Involved in interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, corrective action, as well as performance evaluations.
