Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is the local leader in dockside, mid-streaming, and offshore fueling along the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge to Venice, Louisiana and into the Gulf of Mexico. Position: Mechanic: Reports To: Mechanic Supervisor: Worksite: Gretna, Louisiana. Work Schedule: 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday; on-call every other week for afterhours and weekend coverage. Essential Job Duties: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair engines, gears, pumps, and air and hydraulic systems, including deep well pump units, PTOs, marine engines of all kinds (Detroit, Cummins, John Deere, Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Kubota, etc.). Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges. Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices. Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units. Reconditioning equipment.
