Classification Title: Maintenance Generalist III Classification Minimum Requirements: - A high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least four (4) years of experience in the field or in a related area - Appropriate vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience Job Description: - Provide leadership in maintaining and repairing all NFREC-Marianna pivots and wells used for research and extension. Work with the Beef Unit Farm Manager and the Agronomy Farm Manager to ensure that they are working and well maintained for minimum down-time. - Provide leadership for maintaining the main road systems and gravel parking areas around the Beef and Agronomy farms including grading, repair, and upgrading. - Supervise and participate in the maintenance of rolling stock including tractors, pickup trucks, trailers, cars including on-site repair and preventative maintenance. - Maintain specialized research and farm equipment (planters, harvesters, etc.) as well as research facilities (like the forage dryer, etc.) including on-site repair and preventative maintenance. - Build or fabricate apparatuses for research purposes. - Assist the Agronomy Farm Ma...
