Job description

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate degree in engineering technology or a closely related field, or completion of a formalized Electrical/Electronic training or apprenticeship program is required. A minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in train control maintenance required. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of signaling principles and practices of the American Railway Engineering & Maintenance of Way (AREMA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Must also possess experience working in or knowledge of a labor union environment. Directly related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis in-lieu of educational or formalized training. INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process may include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in job-related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interview and/or competency assessments.
