Software Development Manager, EC2 VPC Private Gateway Networking

Job description

As a Software Development Manager in the EC2 Gateway Networking Organization, you will build next-generation software-defined networking infrastructure at scale. Your team delivers best-in-class networking services using custom hardware and EC2 native instances to connect customer VPCs globally. You will partner with VPC, S3, Direct Connect, DDB, Outposts, and other services to deliver features, improve availability and cost, and operate at extraordinary scale. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership, solve complex software problems, and make strategic trade-offs between short-term and long-term results. You'll think in terms of architecture, not just code, while elevating our ability to build and operate high-availability systems worldwide. This hands-on position requires broad engineering competence and deep technical knowledge of control plane development, DevOps, continuous integration, infrastructure tools, and distributed systems.
