Job Location: Hazleton, PA Summary: Under limited supervision, directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, health, safety, and security programs, policies, and procedures that are compliant and promote continuous improvement. Provides the leadership, direction, and support necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external safety, environmental & security standards consistent with sound business practice. Develops and maintains relationships with all levels within and outside the organization, from corporate, regional, and plant management to supervisors and hourly employees in the production areas. The position may direct the work of other salary or hourly persons and/or consultants. Specialized responsibilities may include but are not limited to multiple site responsibilities, subject matter expert for COE, multiple function responsibilities (i.e., commercial), and sites with a higher degree of complexity (PSM, RMP, Combustible Dust, etc.) Provide guidance and oversite to the Health Service function at the plant.
