Position Purpose: The Medical Intermediate Care Unit (MIMCU) at Mount Carmel East has 6-18 beds and delivers care on a ratio of 1:4. The Registered Nurse (RN) could expect to see cases related to respiratory failure, sepsis, covid, phycological disorders, drug overdoses, surgical, diabetes, and more. This unit can provide great experience for RNs wanting to learn to care for intermediate patients coming from the Medical Intensive Care Unit or Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse RN, within the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person’s physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
