Geotechnical Associate

Job description

The Associate is a senior level position responsible for performing geotechnical analysis and preparing geologic materials used for strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions and other types of financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective of this role is to generate high-quality geological analyses and mapping materials that can be presented to clients and counterparties as part of Citi’s strategic advisory services for energy clients. Responsibilities: Assist in technical evaluation of oil and gas assets across Upstream, Midstream and Downstream sectors and will lead or support the geology function on assigned projects Role will involve all relevant geologic tasks including, but not limited to: regional basin-scale mapping, landing zone analysis, generation of relevant subsurface maps and cross sections Lead mapping efforts for the technical team including, but not limited to: operator acreage maps, rig activity maps, well activity maps Assist in quantification of remaining inventory potential for upstream assets Generate presentation materials for pre-marketing documents and data room presentations using private and/...
