R+L Carriers has an immediate opening for a Safety Hazmat Technician in our China Grove, NC service center office. Reporting to the Director of Safety, the Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response, hazardous and non-hazardous materials clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, handling of hazardous materials, and other duties as required. Requirements: 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification required Based on OSHA and industry health standards, wear proper personal protective equipment when required Work effectively and communicate with team members and other departments Inform the management team of issues that arise on jobs in a timely manner Update job notes daily: Physically fit; able to lift 75 lbs.
