POSITION SUMMARY: Ensures that all paint work is carried out in accordance with Company procedures and policies, manufacturer’s technical data, as well as FAA regulatory guidelines. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provides instruction and on-the-job training to assigned personnel. - Performs paint tasks along with assigned personnel ; ensures the use of appropriate manual references and proper tools in performing paint duties ; monitors quality of work in progress, as well as performance to production schedule. - Submits work to Quality Assurance for final inspection and re-certification of airworthiness. - Assists in implementing ways to remedy behind-schedule conditions. - Assists in the maintenance of records and technical data required by the FAA. - Monitors departmental requirements and corresponding stores inventories to avoid shortages; assist in planning work-arounds to alleviate shortage conditions. - Ensures that labor and materials used in assigned area of responsibility are charged to the correct job and work order number. - Repair assignments may occasionally require heavy lifting.
