We currently have a Community Support Worker role available in Gateshead. This is a part-time role, 16 hours per week, working flexibly across the week but one working day must be Tuesday. Good knowledge of the local area and ability to travel across Gateshead is required. What you’ll do: You’ll work with local people to build their skills, local connections and friendships. You’ll make sure that the people you work with (Members) are doing as much as they can for themselves, that they are looking after themselves and that they have a life that is bigger than social care support. You’ll feel inspired and help inspire people. You’ll encourage them to try new things and have new experiences. You’ll reassure but you won’t take over.
