Job description

Summary Creates complex design of VIP aircraft interiors and/or structures to meet customer criteria, quality standards, FAA requirements, budget and project schedules using Computer Aided Drafting/Design tools. Competencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Greenpoint Core Competencies - Designs complex mechanical aircraft interior furnishing and/or structures such as ceilings, sidewalls, OEM mods, flooring, floor structure, ceiling grids, - Analyzes and interprets subsystem and project specifications. - Selects materials for mechanical designs based on structural needs and materials specifications. Evaluates trade-offs in materials, hardness, composites, treatments, coatings, and other selections to best meet design objectives. Works with materials suppliers and material testing when needed. - Applies experience and knowledge, and works with Manufacturing Engineers to optimize designs for reduced parts counts, reduced manufacturing costs, reduced assembly error, and other factors affecting production cost and quality - Understands Bills of Materials, assembly concepts, fabrication specifications. - Ensures designs meet...
