POSITION SUMMARY: Performs a variety of functions necessary for meal service. Maintains a clean and orderly environment, and washes equipment and utensils according to standard practices and procedures. Assists with assembling patient trays, special events, and cafeteria meal services. Complies with regulatory requirements. Education: Experience: - High School Graduate or equivalent preferred. - Previous food service experience preferred. License/Certification/Registration: - Must be able to read and follow directions. - Must have good eye hand coordination in the performance of numerous tasks. - None required. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives direct supervision from the department manager and supervisors. SUPERVISION GIVEN: None: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1) Readies food items for meal service needs. a) Portions and plates food for patient, cafeteria and special function meals, as directed, following standard procedure. b) Mixes and portions nutritional supplements for patient meal service, as directed by Diet Clerk or supervisor. c) Assembles sandwiches and platters, as directed by production personnel. d) Fills hot beverage containers for patient meal, following standard procedures,...
