Job Description Summary: Serves as a Pathologist extender for the Department of Pathology. Is responsible for case accessioning; gross description and sampling of small uncomplicated tissue specimens; evisceration of autopsies; preparation and collection of tissue for special studies; cutting, staining, and cover slipping of frozen section tissue; maintaining supplies of gross room/morgue; disposal of old specimens; identify and resolve labeling/identification discrepancies. Responsibilities And Duties: 30% Accessioning of Surgical Pathology Specimens: Accurately accession all surgical pathology specimens/case types in the AP LIS.
