Job description
PRIMARY DUTIES: - Safely performs assigned tasks competently and efficiently. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. - Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. - Performs job tasks for the planning and execution of shutdowns/outages. - Responsible to maintain up to date spare parts and drawings. - Provides communication to maintenance and production groups to maintain and enhance equipment reliability. - Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and/or electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove/replace defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools. - Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. - Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting parts, using calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
