Job description

General Summary : Establishes and monitors financial management system providing effective control over and accountability for all funds, property, and other assets, within the guidelines of federal and state laws, local government codes, and department policies and procedures. Reports to Director or other designated person and works with public accountants, federal agencies, sub-recipients, co-workers, and the public to ensure compliance with regulations governing the use of federal funds and provides accountability to the public and other users of financial information. Position may supervise and/or train subordinate accountant personnel . Key Responsibilities and Performance Standards: - Manages the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and regulatory compliance, ensuring funds are spent according to policy. Conducts various Procurement procedures in accordance to policy. Supervises, directs and evaluates assigned staff.
