JOB SUMMARY: As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and expert care to expectant mothers before, during, and after childbirth. Working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, you will collaborate closely with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Your responsibilities will include monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, assisting with labor and delivery procedures, providing emotional support to laboring mothers and their families, and educating new parents on newborn care. Circulating and recovering the cesarean section patient is also required in this role. All staff within the department will complete training during orientation for the postpartum unit. Staffing for the postpartum unit is comprised of Labor & Delivery, and NICU / Nursery staff.
