Summary: The GSRP Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment in the absence of the regular Lead or Associate Teacher. This individual supports the implementation of daily classroom activities aligned with the Great Start Readiness Program guidelines and ensures continuity of instruction and care for Pre-K children. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follow lesson plans and daily schedules prepared by the Lead or Associate Teacher. Supervise and engage preschool children in developmentally appropriate activities that support social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly classroom environment in accordance with licensing and GSRP requirements. Support classroom routines including transitions, meals, rest time, and outdoor activities. Foster positive relationships with children through active supervision, guidance, and redirection as needed.
