Job description

The CT Tech 2 arranges patients for Computed Tomography examinations. Produces CT images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation. Ensures patient safety by using pre-established imaging protocols, and screens patients for safe administration of contrast media. Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Able to evaluate competency level of others. Reports to Supervisor or Manager. Years of Exp: 1 year of experience Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program Licensure: Current State License; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, ARRT (R); Computed Tomography, CT; Basic Life Support, BLS - HCP - Clinical skills - Exhibits working knowledge of all CT equipment and proceedures. - Refers to physician's orders/chart for any special instructions that may be indicated. - Routinely questions the patient before procedure to obtain patient history. - Explains proceedure completely to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety. - Performs all procedures in an efficient and ti...
