Description The Acute Care Services (ACS) / Mobile Crisis Clinician will be part of a team providing 24/7 mobile outreach to those in the community who are in psychiatric crisis. The purpose of this program is to provide immediate interventions to stabilize the crisis in an effort to avoid psychiatric hospitalization. The Mobile Crisis Clinician and the Mobile Crisis Team will work in partnership with police, first responders, schools, and other community stakeholders. This role will report to the Director of Acute Care Services & Mobile Crisis. Responsibilities Include: Travel is required both within and outside of our Community Mental Health Center catchment area. Approximately 50-75%. Clinicians must be available to respond to dispatch requests for the duration of their shift and work beyond their shift, as needed, based on coverage and dispatch needs. - Rapidly and accurately evaluate complex behavioral health situations, develop, recommend and support clinically appropriate crisis interventions to be implemented with individual clients, their families, and a wide variety of community helpers. - Consult, triage, or actively participate in facilitating appropriate voluntary inpa...
