Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer - 12 month FTC

Job description

Your focus: - Design and develop: Create innovative mechanical designs for products, components, or systems using CAD software and engineering best practices. - Feasibility analysis: Evaluate the feasibility of design ideas and concepts based on factors such as cost, manufacturing limitations, and material properties. - Materials selection: Select appropriate materials for mechanical systems and components based on factors such as strength, weight, durability, and cost. - Engineering calculations: Perform complex engineering calculations, such as stress analysis, thermal analysis, and rotordynamics to optimise designs and ensure the reliability and safety of mechanical systems. - Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel to ensure that designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements. - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and site maintenance teams. - Lead failure analysis investigations (RCA) and recommend corrective actions. - Provide technical assistance in the installation, commissioning, and startup of rotating equipment. - Documentation and communication: Create and...
