Job description

Summary The Refrigeration Technician will provide industrial maintenance support while performing a variety of tasks including, but not limited to corrective maintenance (CM), preventative maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance (PDM). Installs and repairs industrial and commercial refrigerating systems, but not limited to plant utilities, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, steam, water, gas, compressed air, and building systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operate and perform maintenance on boiler condensate return systems boiler feed water systems sack economizers, and chemical injection systems for boilers and cooling towers. Understand ammonia characteristics, properties, dangers, and know proper handling procedures. Starts system, observes operation, reads gauges and instruments, and adjusts mechanisms such as valves, controls, and pumps to control level of fluid, pressure, and temperature in system. Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components and provides long-term corrective action to all levels of equipment/systems utilizing root cause analysis.
